This performance was a cover of an artwork that I saw at a performance evening of The Robert’s Institut of Art, London, in 2016/2017. A work that changed my life but whose author is forever lost to my mind's artwork archive. The pictured performance and contact ad was my call out for the artist to come back to me. It consists in me telling the story of the original performance evening, and then performing the 1983 cult pop song Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler.

In
A multi staged funerary ritual in which dying is a mental exercise and play undertaken by the artist and the audience. Shortly put: For one hour, participants pretend that they are dying in a mediation guided by the artist. Framed by monologue, touch, popular music and the metaphor of melting inwards, ritual becomes a conduit for the extreme fiction that it is possible to imagine ones own death.
